چکیده
This paper outlines the initial motivations and implementation scope supporting a dynamic data driven application system for material and structural health monitoring as well as critical event prediction. The dynamic data driven paradigm is exploited to promote application advances, application measurement systems and methods, mathematical and statistical algorithms and finally systems software infrastructure relevant to this effort. These advances are intended to enable behavior monitoring and prediction as well as critical event avoidance on multiple

Compressed Sensing and Time-Parallel Reduced-Order Modeling for Structural Health Monitoring Using a DDDAS
This paper discusses recent progress achieved in two areas related to the development of a Dynamic Data Driven Applications System (DDDAS) for structural and material health monitoring and critical event prediction. The first area concerns the development and demonstration of a sensor data compression algorithm and its application to the detection of structural damage. The second area concerns ...
متن کاملSparse and Low-rank Methods for Structural Identification and SHM
Recent advances in Statistical Learning techniques have enabled the development of new algorithms for monitoring, data cleansing, data compression, structural identification, damage identification, and structural dynamics in general. This keynote presents novel sparse and low-rank methods to address the inverse problems in structural dynamics, identification, and data-driven health monitoring. ...
متن کاملA case study for application of fuzzy inference and data mining in structural health monitoring
In this study, a system for monitoring the structural health of bridge deck and predicting various possible damages to this section was designed based on measuring the temperature and humidity with the use of wireless sensor networks, and then it was implemented and investigated. A scaled model of a conventional medium sized bridge (length of 50 meters, height of 10 meters, and with 2 piers) wa...
متن کاملDamage detection and structural health monitoring of ST-37 plate using smart materials and signal processing by artificial neural networks
Structural health monitoring (SHM) systems operate online and test different materials using ultrasonic guided waves and piezoelectric smart materials. These systems are permanently installed on the structures and display information on the monitor screen. The user informs the engineers of the existing damage after observing signal loss which appears after damage is caused. In this paper health...
متن کاملStochastic Change Detection in Uncertain Nonlinear Systems Using Data-drivenSystem Identification Methods
A stochastic change detection methodology for reliable monitoring complex nonlinear dynamic systems is proposed. For a semi-active magneto-rheological (MR) damper, the non-parametric, data-driven restoring force method was used to identify the nonlinear dynamic damping device. Both supervised and unsupervised statistical pattern recognition techniques were used to detect the changes in the phys...
